Hyannis Half - 1:51:00
I really thought I was going to PR today. My first mile was 7:35. My second mile was 7:47. And after that I averaged about an 8:30 pace for the race. I pushed myself hard because I knew whatever time I ran, and with the conditions, I would finish close to 1:48:00 - 1:50:00.
I’m not questioning anything about my strategy. I just needed to push myself harder on a few miles mid-race. If I ran...
Finally ran a 1:10 Crossroads run
Man. I remember the days when I did the 8.84 mile run in an hour and twenty five minutes. Each month I got a little faster and little more confident about the run. Tonight I was just going to Ball So Hard.
Mile 1 - 8:01
Mile 2 - 7:56
Mile 3 - 8:02
Mile 4 - 8:12
Mile 5 - 7:51
Mile 6 - 7:59
Mile 7 - 8:03
Mile 8 - 6:31
Total - 1:10:44 and great momentum for the half in Hyannis.

Giving this post to my cousin for the great game he had last night down in Florida. Onto the District Regional Final for River.
“Evan just killed us inside,” John I. Leonard coach Jim Howell said. “We didn’t play our best game, and to beat a really good team like Spanish River, you have to bring your ‘A’ game.”

Good breakfast. Went to the gym. Had lots of pasta tonight. Watching a movie and going to bed early tonight. 20 miles tomorrow morning.
Sorry I AM NOT SORRY about the ad before the video clip. Here is the question which precedes the video:
“Why isn’t there more focus on lung cancer, and more of a commitment to curing the disease?” - Rosemary from West Boylston…..
Rosemary, I always hoped that anyone would have the chance to live more than 2 years, and not 2 months, after a lung cancer diagnosis.
Valentine's day 2012

Watched Rondo go for 32, 10, and 15 at the TD Garden today. He’s had more impressive triple double’s. This one looked easy for him today. Maybe because Rose was not in the game. The difference between that team with and without him is crazy. Obviously. He is the best player in the league. Even with Rondo’s triple double, I would still take Russell Westbrook over him.
My senior year of high school my English teacher told me that I should read Everything Is Illuminated. I got 20 - 30 pages into the book, on two separate occasions, in more than six years, but could never get past that in the book. I can’t tell why I decided to finally read it after my trip to Ukraine this past summer.
After finishing it, I knew I wanted to find out more about my family and...

Another lazy Saturday. 14 mile run followed by a turkey sandwich at Michael’s deli then I napped and now going out for a few drinks. Loving the weather. Finally cold tonight.
Is the weather report actual news?
As of 6:16, yesterday evening, while I was on the stationary bike at the gym, the weather report was calling for 3-5 inches of snow around Boston and points south of the Mass Pike.
We have already had one long run in snow, however, other than that 2-inch coating on a Saturday morning, we have not had to deal with any snow accumulation. Same story for today.
It actually turned into a nice day....

The first game that I decided to watch since the Super Bowl was the Celtics overtime loss to the Lakers last night. Still depressed.

Only doing this in February. Keeping it short and hoping the days get longer.

So what if my dinner tonight was pretzel m&m’s and a banana? Decisions for dinner are tough at 10pm.

Day 1 of no sports shows, radio, articles, or talk. Not entirely successful but I have found many excel spreadsheets to occupy my mind.

Devastated. The sequel.
SUPER BOWL Weekend -- the most dangerous 72 hours
The four hours of the game, which is more like six hours of football—an hour before and possibly more than an hour after the game—will be the most dangerous part of the weekend because it is going to be so stressful to watch the Patriots play the Giants again. I am not lying, I could not watch sports, go onto the internet, or pick up a newspaper for weeks after February 3, 2008. Any...

Felt great on an 8.8 mile run even though I had a burrito for lunch. BOOM!
